New Cub Parent Information
"Hello and welcome to Pack 626 !!!"
Cub Scout Pack 626 is locally run by volenteering adults in our Moorhead, MN based community and meets primarily on Thursday evenings at Grace United Methodist Church.
We volunteer our time and energy to the Cub Scouting experience for the boys involved, which are first through fifth grade and may already know each other through school or other community activities.
Cub Scouting furthers those relationships and creates new ones for both the boys and parents alike.
It cannot be emphasized enough that Cub Scouting is a family program. All family members are welcome to any activity.
We work towards teaching the boys about the surrounding world through activity badges and achievements that are listed in the different books of rank. For the Pack, we follow Boy Scouts of America policies and rules governing the Cub Scout Program as well as the Pack 626 Code of Conduct. We hold monthly Pack meetings to keep all leaders and parents informed of Pack activities planned. We are also proud to be distinguished with the National Quality Unit Award, as well as the National Summertime Pack Award.
Pack 626 is self-supporting. Your activity fees, fundraisers, and community donations help cover the expenses of running the Pack. One of our more exciting fundraisers is Popcorn sales in the fall. The profits from this sale, as well as activity fees, cover the costs for the purchase of den books, awards and pins, Pinewood Derby cars, Blue & Gold Banquet supplies, leader uniforms, and countless other expenses during the year. We are proud to be a financially secure Cub Scout Pack and have a tremendous amount of fun throughout the whole year. Itís no wonder that we have such a high enrollment!!
